Hi I just bought a used Samsung HLT6187SX/XAA DLP HDTV and my components are a Comcast Motorola DCH3416 HDMI, Xbox 360 HD component wires, PS3 HDMI, Samsung DVD1080P8 upscaling Dvd player HDMI and a Logitech Harmony One universal remote.

I'm now looking for the best budget Home Theater for the buck and I've come down to these 3 Receivers but don't know which one, first the Pioneer VSX-1019AH-K I heard it was the best budget receiver on the market and it has 4 HDMI ports and great ipod control.

The Second is the Onkyo TX-SR607 it has 6 HDMI Inputs which would be good for the future but I heard it has video processing problems which I don't know if they fixed it with a firmware update or not and I heard the receiver gets really hot.

The 3rd is the Sony STR-DN100 which has not come out yet but is rumored to be the best Budget receiver of 2009.

For Speakers and Subwoofer I read that Energy Take Classic 5.1 speaker package was the bang for the buck, 2nd was Mirage Nanosat 5.1 & 3rd Polk Audio RMS750 Titanium 5.1.

Other than those I have no Idea what the best wiring would be or what I need because I usually buy HTIB and I'm pretty knowledgeable with video but with audio I can connect it and get it working properly but I have no idea how to calibrate it right and I have a Samsung AS720ST HTIB on my other TV that I never touched the calibration on and it sounds good but I think if it was tweaked it would sound a lot better.

I like my audio to sound good during loud action scenes but to still be able to hear the persons voice with out blasting the volume if that helps with me choosing the right setup.

Any info and advise on Receivers,Speakers,Subs & Wires for my application would be great thanks.

I have a similar DLP (the 67" model).

My vote would be the Pioneer. Although, we have the 4 yr old model (1015) that is upstairs, and just upgraded the downstairs to the Elite SC-05, so I am an admittedly a Pioneer fan. The bedroom has a '94 model Pioneer that still works.

The Onkyo runs hot, I hear, and I have also read that any Sony AVR is to be avoided.

Wiring looks good to me. Although, I hook up my DVR component and not HDMI, but it isn't capable of doing more than 1080i and the receiver has a better upscaler than my tv. I would recommend trying both and seeing which one has a better picture.

If you don't have HDMI cables already, definitely check out monoprice.com as it can save you a ton of money.

I can't weigh on much on the speakers as that is my spouse's domain...

Is it worth stepping up to the VSX-O3TXH and loosing a HDMI port but gaining HDMI Jitter Reduction & THX?

I think the lowest I found the the VSX-03THX was $545 and the VSX-1019 was $449.00 & the SR-05 $750.00, if any one has reliable websites with better prices let me know please.

Where is the best place to buy the Energy speakers and are the wires that come with the speakers good and if not what is the best wire to buy?

i would actually put a vote in for a denon reciever there auto room setup is one of the best out there and they are very good bang for the buck.

this denon reciever seems to be right in your price range its a 7.1 ch reciever and can decode dd true hd and dts hd it has 4 hdmi inputs

as far as the speakers go the energy take 5 system is a good one and it around $200, but depending on what your budget is you can do better

and a good place to get speaker wire is monoprice.com

JMO (and you haven't declared a budget figure) but...consider spending considerably more for speakers and a subwoofer than the receiver. If you're going to drop $500 on an AVR, you probably ought to be thinking about $1,000 for speakers and a sub. 2-to-1 seems to be a commonly expressed ratio. Like I said, JMO.

Yeah I'm sorry for that I guess my budget is low around $750-$800 or less because I bought the TV pretty cheap used and I still need a nice sectional for the room and I don't want to spend more on the Home Theater then the TV but I know they can get high and it's important to me that they handle HDMI well.

So I guess it is VSX-1019AH-K & the Energy Take Classic 5.1 speaker package right?

Is that the way to go because it wont push the speakers to the limit like the other pioneer units I mentioned plus is the setup better then all the quality company's HTIB Pioneer,Denon,Onkyo,Yamaha?

If not please feel free to put one together with Reliable website links because I'm looking to get this in the next couple weeks and I'm no audiophile but i learn pretty quick and if some one were to even show me how to calibrate a system I would understand.

Is THX a big deal?

You are spending WAY too much on the AVR. Speakers make the largest difference in sound quality. The Pioneer 819, Denon 1610, Onkyo 507 would be better choices and give you more money for speakers (where it counts). Run from low end Sony.

Speaker and all wires can be bought for great prices at monoprice.com.

You need to go listen to speakers. They all sound very different to each person, and there is nothing worse than buying speakers that you hate. You'll be upgrading in a year spending even more money. Do it right the first time.

Yeah I found out that's not really a good deal for the Energy Package I listed and there not that great of Speakers & Sub in the package either.

Is $600.00 a good deal for slightly used new condition Klipsch Sub-12 Subwoofer, C2 Center Speaker, 1 pair S2 Rear Surround Sound Speakers?

If it is and their quality speakers would I need another set of the S2 for the fronts or would I do a B2, B3 or S3?
