Hello,

I just got my Replay 5160 from Amazon. Setup was a breeze but I am having a problem playing the .mpg files after I copy them to my Macintosh with ReplayPC.

My mpg player (Quicktime 6) reports that a software component needed by the movie could not be found. Perhaps SB is using a non-standard compression codex?

I've uploaded a small test file (3.5mb) to a web site. Perhaps someone can help me out here and download the small mpg file and tell me if they can play it correctly or not.

Here is the address of the test file in question:

Thanks in advance.

You need to install a codec. Software DVD players have it integrated, and quicktime does not. I'm not sure about mac software but try a specifically made for dvd program.

Thanks for the reply. As it turns out, Quicktime needed the mpeg 2 codec, which for whatever reason was not installed by default.
