I've got a VisionTek GeForce4 MX 420, a Key Digital VTCA2 VGA to component video converter, and I'm trying to display on a Sony KDP-57XBR2 HD/RPTV. I've read all the postings I can find on PS settings (using the beta since the 420 is new - thanks Ashley!). Nothing seems to output a usable picture to the Sony, and I've tried quite a few. The "best" I've gotten is a purplish color wash (as if the pixels are randomized) with a diagonal pattern of black segments. The HDTV display changes when something on the PC screen does, so the HD appears to be receiving something. I only try settings that work on my monitor, and don't use interlaced since the nVidia doesn't support it.

Can anyone offer PS settings that work with this Sony, or what timings, widths, etc., the Sony accepts?? Could the VTCA2 be defective?

Also, this Sony, in the diagrams in the manual and on the input label on the back of the set, show "720P". Anyone know if it'll actually take and display 720P?
