I just upgraded from my older direct tv Tivo dvr to the new hr22 direct tv dvr. I took the old tivo out of a bedroom and replaced it with a standard Hd direct tv reciever that in was in the Living room. No problems there. The new Hd Dvr replaced the hd reciever in the living room. As for the cables, I took the two that were hooked the Tivo and swaped them with the one cable that was in the living room. I did hook up the b band converters to the new box. as for reception, everything is fine. My problem is that the new Dvr will not record but one program at a time. When i try to change channels while recording, the DVR wont let me. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

OK, just need to make sure, what two cables did you swap where since it sounds like you had only one there before? The HD DVR needs to satellite connections inorder for both tuners to work. Are you sure the cables are swapped around are good.

i would think so. I didnt disturb them much when i moved them. i would check the signal strengths if i really knew what to look for. any suggestions?

Hit menu on the remote and select "Parental, Fav's & Setup", then System Setup. Select Info & Test then cursor up and over to System test and run the system tese and see what it says about tuners. You should see "OK, Acquired at XX%" if the box can see both connections active.

Ok. redone setup and it was set to only one tuner. But after all that when it tested the signals, i got bad signals(red x's) on 13V 101 and 103 and 18V 103. What does that mean?
