OK, I am considering the purchase of an ISCO II lens, but I need verification that my “due diligence†to date is correct. I have a floor-mounted Martinized JVC G-15, HTPC with output to 1360x1024, HD-100, and a Crystal Image scaler for various video sources. Currently, I am projecting to a 10 foot 4:3 screen. Please tell me if the following assumptions are correct:

a) To fit an 8 foot wide screen with a 16:9 image and the ISCO II lens, I need to project a 4:3 image that is 4.5 feet tall?

b) Using the HD-100 with HDTV 1080i material, I would set the G-15 to convert the 1080i image to 4:3, then push it back thru the ISCO to get 16:9?

c) To watch 16:9 material on the HTPC, I would uncheck the “maintain aspect ratio†option in PowerDVD?

d) All 16:9 images from the ISCO will be at the bottom of my 4:3 screen?

e) I use the Crystal Image for 4:3 sources only. How do I keep them at 4:3 and use the full 10 foot 4:3 screen? Can I zoom the G-15 with the ISCO lens?

And finally, is it all worth it? Thanks in advance for your help http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif
