OK.....I just installed my 8vsb tuner into my dish 6000 reciever and have it hooked to a "silver sensor" indoor antenna.


I can NOT get 1% of any of the LA local digital channels. (I live in Newbury Park, about 40 miles north/west of tranmitters). I knew that I was "rolling the dice" with this indoor antenna, but I expected to get at least "something".


I know the tuner is hooked up correctly because I can get some fuzzy analog stations. I assumed (maybe I'm wrong) that if I got some of the analog station that I would at least get a "reading" on the digital stations.


Somebody please help...........


Am I missing something obvious here? Maybe I'm just SOL (an outdoor antenna is not allowed)

Come on guys......just a simple (and ignorant) question:


Is it nomal to get a 0% reading on a digital station when I can get some of the analog station?


Or, have I not set up my 8vsb tuner correctly?

Could be a defective OTA module. My first OTA module was able to receive analog but not digital.


First thing you should do is go into the setup menu and select HDTV setup. Make sure your receiver is set for "air" instead of cable. If that doesn't work, call Dish and request that they patch you through to advanced tech support.
