I am trying to setup a Yamaha DVD player (DVDS661) connected to a Yamaha Receiver (RXV465) and a Sony TV (KDF-50WE655) all using HDMI. The problem I have is when I set the receiver to the input for the DVD, there is no video except for a flicker as the DVD player tries to auto select the correct resolution. I tried manually setting the DVD player to 1080i as well, but to no avail. I can get sound through the HDMI connection but no video. From what i have found, all these components should support 1080i but they are not displaying properly. Any suggestions or steps I can try to resolve this? Thank you in advance!
