Right now i have a Home Theater in a Box LG LH-T9654MB(I know it sucks, but it was free) anways i wanna upgrade the receiver aspect right now the one i was looking at getting was the Pioneer VSX-1016TXVK. i'm just wondering what eveyones opionions about this reciever is and if it will hook up good with my HDMI dvd player, PS3 and comtpuer.

That's a fine receiver (although I don't think it does HDMI up-conversion from analog).


However, chances are that you're most limited by your speakers already, so improving the receiver won't particularly improve the sound in proportion. If you need the switching capability, however, you can get it now, and plan on doing the speakers later.

ya i plan on updating speakers in a the near future. it just that i found a nice reciever. can you reccomend any good speakers that dont cost ALOT of money i dont mind speding a fair penny.
