Well I have a problem.

We recently purchased a home, and with the home came a 52 inch RPTV.

That isn't the problem. The problem is, due to room/view/fireplace/wife locations I am forced to have the TV in a corner. This makes it very difficult to mount my rear speakers. Luckily there is enoough room to walk behind the sectional couch.

I have attached two drawings, one shows the current setup, and the other shows the proposed setup (only involving re-locating the rears).

Does anyone have any advise, or opinions about my setup?

The current setup doesn't work, and I need to change it asap.

Speakers: Energy take 5 (small speakers)

Reciever: Marantz sr5200 (with time, and distance delay for all five speakers)

Thanks for your help!

Does the receiver have the same adjustment menus that allow you to specify distance from a 'sweet spot'?
Hmm, I could try that.

I am able to set the distance (and delay) for each speaker from the listening postion.

I wonder if your idea would cause any imaging isuues with the front speakers, or if the delay/distance settings would take care of that.

Only one way to find out though....
