Finishing basement, and framing right now.
Wall behind couch is for furnace room, where I want to put projector in to keep noise down.
Any ideas how to put projector in utility room, while not getting any sound penetrating from furnace, water heater, etc... ?
Walls for furnace room will be filled with Roxul, but opening for projector to shine through is making me scratch my head how to soundproof it.
There is no other place for projector, throw distance will be 13ft.

The above is correct. Alternatively if you don't want a visible projection into the furnace room, you could get a wooden or metal cabinet big all tall enough to contain your projector, cut the back off (at least where the projector lens goes) and stand it against the furnace room wall, such that the projector can go on the top shelf and shine through the projection window in the wall. You would still need to line the inside of the projector shelf with sound insulation and make a cuff of insulation foam where it butts up to the wall.
