Need info: VDC tube rebuilds for Barco

408 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  reg152
Guys, I have a Barco Data 808 that I removed the tubes from and I need rebuilt. As a newbie to this, how and who do I contact at VDC in order to get these MEC tubes rebuilt? And does anyone have an idea on the cost per tube? Curt....you've had tubes rebuilt for the Barco's right ??? Or does anyone have a set of tube they're willing to sell? Any help is greatly appriciated.

Thanks,

Ryan

To start with, you're sure they're Panasonic tubes, right ? Sony tubes can be found in some 808's. Just call the VDC projection division, a knowledgeable woman will answer and tell you what to do. The website should come up with a search, it did for me anyway. Last time I asked about them they were $495. per tube plus a $25. dud charge if you didn't send in your old tubes, plus shipping.
Yeah, I bought this one from Curt awhile ago and he assured me they were MEC tubes. Anyhow, thanks for the info.

Try this person, he seemed to know quite a bit. I think the cores are more like $100. each though as my E-home uses almost the same tubes.
