a "decent price range" tells us squat, you tell us how much you want to spend. also, you say, "they tend to overheat" are you saying the receiver gets overheated or the speakers get hot/warm to the touch when playing? and what kind of levels are you blasting them at that this overheating occurs?

also, your picture won't open, is the receiver in a well ventilated area or is it stuffed in an entertainment type deal with no room to breath?

OK-can we assume you are cranking these quite loud? And that it's the receiverthat is overheating? This https://www.acinfinity.com helped a buddy out, auto-sensing speed. That's if it's an occasional problem. If this happens a lot, no receiver is gonna hack it, they ALL have compromised/limited power supplies, you need a more powerful power amp.

I've been running these Polks for awhile now but they tend to overheat frequently.
what exactly does this mean? The speakers actually overheat? How do you know?

also, decent price range doesn't mean anything. How much are you willing to spend? $300, $500, $1000, $1500? Also, do you have a subwoofer?
