Hi,


I am building my new (first) system. I need some opinions/suggestions since I am just a beginner and this is my first major project.


First let's start with the room. It is a combined living/dining space => 14x25. Plan is attached below.


I am thinking about this:

1) Onkyo TX-SR606 - receiver

2) Mirage OMNISAT v2 FS - tower speaker (x2)

3) Mirage OMNISAT v2 CC - center channel speaker

4) Mirage OMNI S8 - powered subwoofer

5) Sony KDL-46XBR5 - 46" TV mounted using Sanus VMAA26 mount

3) Sony PS3


I was thinking about some wall mounted speakers - but I think the tower speakers will be a better option.


I would really appreciate your comments/suggestions.

A budget for the speakers would help so that we can recommend something besides the Mirage.

I don't want to spend more then $500 for the receiver and around $1800 for the speakers. So total around $2300.


I have to buy everything - so it adds up pretty fast.
