first I apologies for my ignorance of the correct terminology as I explain my question but.......
I am currently attempting to change the blue tube on my sony 1252.
on the new tube........coming from the back of the bell section is a heavy
red wire with the bell at one end and a little silver metal tip on the other.
That metal tip gets plugged into some sort of block which I could only compare to a distributor cap on a car.
Into that distributor cap is three other wires, one from each of the other two tubes and one from the main power block.
my question is this:
when I pulled out the old wire to the old tube.......... the metal tip pulled off the red wire, and is still in the bottom of the hole in the distributor! and I can't get it out!
my question: should I continue to dig around in there trying to pry the tip out or can I just leave it in there and push the new one right in behind it?
If it has to come out......... how do I get it out?
any suggestions appreciated,
mike
