I live in a small to medium size apartment and I am searching for a good hdtv that has a built-in hdtv tuner, greater than or equal to 30", less than $1000, xbox 360 ready, and good pq

From what i have read it looks like the tuner would need to be a QAM htdtv tuner to be able to recieve hd ota through basic cable

I will be doing alot of gaming, movie watching, and general tv watching too.

One recommendation - the Sony KD-30XS955! This is one kick-butt tv. It retails for $1,199, just barely over your number. I guarantee this set will deliver much more value for the money and you'll be glad you got it.

and I recommend the Sony 30HS420, but it has no tuner. You can snatch one for $860 and you could get a OTA tner on ebay for $100.

here are some of the sets i am considering now-

Philips 30PW9100D -- cheapest and has pip

LG 30FZ4D -- best tuner, i think it is a 5th gen lg, best bang for buck in my eye right now

Samsung TX-R3079WH -- slim and has lots of problems so probably a no go

Sony 30HS420 -- no built-in tuner

Sony 30XS955 -- $200 out of price range

any thoughts?
