I been trying to hook up my laptop to my TV via HDMI and take advantage of the 5.1 sound card to be able to pass through the audio and leverage my Home Surround sound.

I have no problem with the video, it's the sound that's a pain to me

As I said, the laptop does have Internal High-Definition 5.1 Surround Sound Audio (IDT), the TV I have is the Panasonic VT25 and using HDMI 3 (or 4) from the TV I have an audio optical cable running to the back of my Pioneer Elite SC35 (I have it hooked to the one that says DVD)...

Now I'm assuming I need to configure the SC35 to accept the audio? How do I do that? I have problems getting to the Home/Menu GUI of the SC35 (i can't seem to find that option) which makes things even harder...

Can anyone help? (Please)
