I currently have Definitive Tech BP2000TL's and a CLR3000 Center with BPX rears but my new house is almost done being built and I was thinking of going to Speakercraft Aim 8 in ceiling speakers. I am not a big music or movie watcher but I do not want to be disappointed.


Would I be better off Keeping my big center channel and not use a ceiling speaker? Or would I be much better off installing wall mount Speakercraft speakers at eye level (when standing up) for the C/L/R speakers.


Last option would be keep the BP2000TL's and CLR3000 and getting in ceiling for surrounds as no back wall for my BPX's. But I really am looking for a smaller solution.

You would be better off putting them in the walls. If the drywall is not up yet, use the opportunity to create an in wall speaker cabinet.

Kind of the problem is that the walls are up and painted.

The walls, (and presumably the ceiling), are up and painted... and *now* your trying to decide about in-wall/in-ceiling speakers?

Is the wiring run for either option?
