Hey all. I'm going to be buying my brother-in-law new cables for his home theater for his birthday coming up. His equiptment is as follows:

Samsung 4661F LCD

DirecTv SD DVR

Toshiba DVD (older)

PS2

Wii

Yamaha RX-V361BL Receiver

Currently he has everything hooked up with composite cables. I was going to buy cables for something like this:

DVR---(s-video)---TV

DVR---(optical audio)---Receiver

Toshiba---(component a/v)---Receiver

PS2---(component a/v)---Receiver

Wii---(component a/v)---Receiver

Receiver---(component a/v)---TV

I was wondering if it was worth it to get monster cables (BB sure says it is) or if the cables from Monoprice would be good? Thanks.

Buy the monoprice equivalent and use the difference to pay for extra gas in your vehicle for the next few months!

BTW, my birthday is coming up in a few months......
