Well, I'm moving into an apartment in a few months and my basic tv system will initially be comprised of a 20" television, a DVD/VHS combo, and a Sherwood RD-6105 5.1 receiver. I would like to start out with a pair of Fluance SV-6 bookshelf speakers:

Is this a good choice, especially for the price? There aren't too many reviews of them around, but what I have read about them is good. I like how they look and the price isn't too bad. I'm foregoing the SV-10s for now due to space considerations. Eventually I want to turn it into a 5.1 system. Here's what I'd like to do:

Fronts: pair of Fluance SV-10 3-way speakers

Center: single Fluance AV-SC 2-way speaker

Rears: pair of Fluance SV-6 2-way speakers

Subwoofer: DIY sub with a 12" Adire Shiva

Are the SV-10s and the AV-SC good matches for the SV-6s?

I've never used a speaker stand before, but I think I'll need a pair to put the SV-6s on when I upgrade to surround sound. How do these work and what would be a good stand for them? Adjustable, preferably. I've been looking at pictures and the ones I've seen don't look like they'd support a speaker that big.

Yup, I don't have them yet. Absolutely no idea how they sound :) I've read good reviews on Fluance speakers, that's about it. That's enough for me to go on - every single speaker system I own right now is mainly a computer speaker system, made by Logitech - z-2200s and z-640s. I'd imagine the Fluances with a real receiver are way better.
