Ok just getting started into this whole new HDTV world and have been wondering about a couple of things:

Is it better to run my HDTV Direc TV receiver to the DVI input on my television or should I reserve the DVI input for a DVD player and use the component input for the Direc TV receiver?

Also, please tell me that my Hughes LHD (hdtv) receiver will allow me to view HDTV signals via my over the air antenna for local channels as my tv will not have an integrated hdtv receiver. My sales rep today said I would but I want to make sure.

My television is either going to be the Sony KF50we610 or Panasonic PT50LC13.

Save the DVI for DVD player. HD through component looks better than DVD's using DVI (on my Samsung DLP.) I cannot imagine HD looking any better through DVI.
