I started streaming Netflix through my Samsung HD-BD1250 Blu Ray surround sound. Streaming works likes a charm, but I have no sound coming through the system.


I have searched for 3 hours on the net looking for answers. Is it Samsung setting, Or my LG TV settings. Uncertain at this point.


Appreciate any help.

It may be a setting on your samsung, or it maybe deffective. HDMI can be tricky to set up but if you can watch dvd or blu ray movies just fine then that is not the issue.


There is nothing to set up with netflix. Try different programs from netflix. If they all fail make sure you have the latest firmware update for your player.


If you are still having an issue call Samsung, if they can't fix it then return the player.

I had this issue yesterday on a new C5500 (1600 replacement) and managed to resolve it by the following:


Netflix - deactivate player

Samsung - reset to defaults (hold stop button (I think it was stop button, could be play) for 5 seconds with no disc in player)

Re-activate player


Worked a treat for me last night so good luck with yours.
