Hi,

This is my first post here, so forgive me if it is in the wrong forum.

I have a setup where I have all my DVDs ripped to multiple hard drives on a server. I would like to view the movies on any of 3 computers set up around the house. I would really like to be able to view all the movie information (including a thumbnail of the cover, plot and cast) and play it on the computer by just selecting one and having my DVD playing software start automatically.

I can currently cobble something together by running a DVD cataloging program on the server and exporting that to HTML. I can then map network drives to each computer and just browse to the right place with my DVD player, but that is all so kludgy. Does anyone have a system that works more seamlessly?

I am considering using BeyondTV to record TV on the server computer also, and BeyondTV Link on the clients, for TV watching. They say that BeyondMedia will do something similar to what I want to view DVDs. Does anyone have experience with this solution?

Thanks,

- Gardner
