Which would you choose and WHY. I want technical reason IF any and then I want your personal comments of why you think one is better over the other. let's get it on


Ignore this as apparently there is a tossup of what is better. I like DTS myself better BUT that is me.

I personally like dts better because:


Technical Reasons:

Higher bit-rate (1509)

-meaning less compression

No additives that are often mis-used by studios

Dialog Normilization (DialNorm)

The Ability to do 7 channels of discrete information

-dts-ES 6.1


Personal Reason:

Put simply, I just think it sounds fuller and more real than Dolby Digital 5.1. It has more depth and has tighter bass. Now I am not saying that DD 5.1 doesn't have any good tracks. I love Blade, Training Day, The Matrix, and SW1: PM.
