Two tower speakers w/built in subs and an amp in the $1000-$1500 range. Save up some money that's dreamland. :) 🌈
That's probably optimistic on pricing and generally towers with built in subs are kind of worst of both worlds in that you have added expense and almost no flexibility in placement in your room which is crucial for subs to sound good. I bet some careful used shopping could get you some passive towers and a receiver for that much.
Avoid the powered units, if at all possible. When the amps go bad (and they always do) you will have two large paper weights.

Or not. I purchased our pair of Polk LSi25 floorstanders 20 years ago and the amplifiers that power the bass drivers are running fine.

If I were working within your suggested budget and potent bass was a top priority, my focus would be on a moderately priced subwoofer, such as a Rythmic or Hsu in the $600 range, and a pair of bookshelf loudspeakers.

If a separate sub is not an option, Wharfedale's Linton Heritage loudspeaker has a reputation for excellent bass and smooth, warmish sonics. It is available with ($1498/pair) or without ($1200/pair) custom stands in a choice of finishes. Available from the good folks at Music Direct and Crutchfield, among others, in the United States. (I do not know the prices in Canada.) Of course, you could add a subwoofer at a later date if desired. Links:
