New 5504--no broadband connection

Help!!


I just got a new 5504 and would like to use a broadband connection. It works over the phone--but very slow!! Phone number is not local.


Since I have a wireless system (D-Link DI-624) at home it seemed that all I would need is a wireless bridge. So, I purchased a Linksys WGA54G. I configured it using the CD that came with it; carried it into the living room where the 5504 is connected to my home theater; connected a laptop to the bridge and was able to connect sucessfully to the internet. Then I connected it to the 5504. The 5504 will not connect and always gives me the screen where you can manually enter the IP address, subnet address, gateway, and DNS server addresses. I have tried entering those and it still will not work.


PLEASE any ideas??
