It looks like this may be a replacement for the popular W1070? Does anyone have any more info or context on this projector?

It is a business projector. It's not ideal for home entertainment (i.e. more chance of experiencing the rainbow effect).

Bought one last week, like it a lot, bought it purely for watching TV Shows/Movies (via Popcorn Hour) and gaming (Primarily PS4), replaced a Benq W1060, I wanted a >2000 Lumens projector with >10,000:1 contrast, this fit the bill on both counts and so far very happy with it, played some Assassin's Creed 4 last night and it looks amazing, great improvement over our previous projector, can't wait to play some Fifa14!
