My Z9000U just hit 2000 hours so time to replace the bulb. Instead of that, should I upgrade to the W1100? I would love to have a brighter PJ so I can watch sports in 1080p vs 1080I with the lights on! Here are my concerns:

No lens shift - Will I have too much keystone adjustment with my low ceiling? My low ceiling forces me to ceiling mount the PJ pretty much even with the top of the screen. The PJ will be about 17' back from my 113 Grayhawk. According to the projection calculator at projector central I should have a 19-24 vertical lens shift depending on aspect. Also worried about how bright it will really be that far back from the screen or is that a non issue? Sorry for the newb questions buts I have had the sharp for a long time and am out of touch with today's market.

If you could locate a w1000+ it would make mounting much easier for you. You'd be looking at 8 or 9" offset. It is also considerably brighter, closer to 2200 lumens verses a hard pushed w1100s 1400 lumens.

I could have 8 100 watt bulbs on in my room and still enjoy a football game. Yes..it is that bright! lol

Here's benq's calculator http://www.benq.com/product/projector/calculator/

Benq has a special on the refurb SP890s http://shop.benq.us/ProductDetail.aspx?id=127 , drop in the promo code "thankyou10". You can get one close to the price of a new w1100. It is soooo bright though , it would be over kill. I think it cruises around 2600 lumens..easy!

Can you say 200 inch screen!

It has lens shift so mounting would be easier for sure! I just read once calibrated to D65 its closer to 850 lumens. That wouldn't be bad at all for movies.
