Just received my TH37PA20UP and am wondering if the plasma is supposed to rotate to the left and right on the supplied pedestal stand, or is it fixed in the 'facing straight ahead' position. It certainly looked like it would be able to in fact rotate on the base, but mine doesn't want to.

Any thoughts/comments from Panny TH37PA20UP or TH42PA20UP owners?

I asked the same question of a salesman in a local Panasonic dealer and he told me that the stand does not rotate.

In playing with the TH42PA20UP at CC today, it did not appear to want to rotate, although it looked like it should. Instead, the entire stand moved when I pulled on one side to get a better view of the connections in the back.

Sorry, the stand doesn't rotate... and doesn't seem to be designed to. Guess the curvy look gives the wrong impression...

I wonder why the manual shows two pictures of the bar that attaches to the base -

One in straight position and the other in angled position ?!?
