Hello all,


Being a new customer who has never subscribed to Directv, I was interested in starting a new subscription. As I was doing my research, one of the places I called was Directv.


Right when they answered they wanted to know my name, address, etc. I gave it to them thinking they would find me the best local deal. I listened to their offer and passed.


Several days later, I found a package I liked at Orbitsat and tried to order it from them. At the very last screen, it said that I was an existing Directv customer and had to pay an extra $250.


Apparently, when I called Directv, they created a "pending" account for me.


Is there anyway that I can remove myself from this pending status? I find it very unfair that I am disqualified from any new customer deals because I called Directv. I was never told that an account would be created for me when I called them up.


If there is nothing I can do, is there any way around this (i.e. having my wife buy the package?) Thanks for any info!
