If I remember correctly, Directv and Tivo was supposed to release a new Mpeg 4 unit in Fall '09 that got pushed to 1st qtr '10 to replace the Hr10-250. Anyone know anything about this and when the official release date is now?

There is no official release date, not even a good rumor of one. Sometime in 2010, maybe.

TiVo has a press event scheduled for March 2nd in New York. They are expected to unveil something at that time, although they haven't said what.

After the recent announcement for the TiVo Premiere, you can now go to www.tivo.com and then click:


"Premiere Details"

"Solutions by TV source"

and finally click "for satellite TV"


This will bring up their page which states they are shooting for a 1st half 2010 launch. I guess we'll see if it holds!

In yesterday's call with the investor community, TiVo announced latter part of the year. So not expected soon.

If I had to guess, probably in time for Black Friday...
