The input may take >75 Hz, but I do not believe that it will provide you with any benefits. The rotation rate of the colour wheel is fixed, so you've got to figure that a 1-chip DLP is a fixed refresh device (I assume at 60Hz). If you feed it a higher refresh rate it is likely that it will just discard the extra frames.
No there should be no flicker, even at 60 Hz. The colour wheel spins at 2.5X that (with a 6 segment colour wheel). That is an effective frame rate of about 300Hz. You may still see a bit of the rainbow effect though.
