New HDTV

Looking at the Sony Bravia KDLV40XBR1 or the Samsung 40590. I need help people...I like them both and have heard good things and bad about them. Can anyone offer advice? I want to mount it on a wall viewing distance will be about 8 feet that is why I am sticking with a 40" I am looking to spend around 2000 but would spend a few dollars more if it made sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
