Well, I went out on sunday and picked up one of the new 520's from HK. It has nice features. DTS-ES 6.1, 8 channel input, etc.
So far I like. The menus are a little tricky to figure out (ie. you change something on one menu screen that enables other options on other menu screens). Never having had a HK before, I dont know if they are all this way or not. It's not a big deal, it just took a few minutes to figure out.
The cosmetic quality is excellent. The DTS and 5.1 sound quality is also excellent.
I haven't played much music with it yet, so no comment yet.
I have noticed one thing odd. Occasionally, when watching TV (input source Digital Sat going thru TiVo) I hear some very faint odd squeaking/crackling in the front and rear surround speakers. The 520 is set for dpl2. Any ideas???
