Hey guys

I am going to be building my basement and have a pretty big space 20 feet by 18 feet

I didn't know where to post this so hopefully this will be the right place to get some help.

I have currently a sxrd 60" and love the picture so o would love a projector like this or excel it.

Projectors I have been looking at is the new jvc hd250 and the Sony hw20.

What screen should size should I go with. I was thinking 120" but will the projectors I am looking at be good enough.

Sorry for the long post I just want to get info from all the pros here

Thanks

I'm running at 720p using a 108" screen sitting about 12' away. Its just far enough away that I can't see the DLP screen door effect. I was afraid that scaling up the picture that much would look horrible & fuzzy but its not at all. The picture looks awesome to me.

1080 at 120" should be fine assuming you're not sitting too close. I think you'll fall in love with the big screen. After owning a projector for a little over a year now, I know I'll never be able to go back to a TV again.

Contact Jason Turk if you want to look for more info on the JVC HD250. Lots of people on AVS have bought it from him

Read this thread to learn more about buying the HD250

Oh, I apologize, I just noticed you're in Toronto? Is that going to be a problem??

As in, are you buying the projector in Canada, or you are looking for it to be shipped from the U.S.?

Or you're still not sure?

If you want to buy your projector in Canada (not sure what's available up there), I know, depending on the brand, the presence isn't as strong up there due to the smaller market demand.
