I just bought a house circa 1947 with knob and tube wiring. Knowing the house would need to get a complete electrical overhaul, I figured it would be a great opportunity to setup a HT at the same time. I've always been a fan of projectors but this is a small 2 bedroom house with no basement. I thought I would have to go without one until my wife and I started contemplating where to put a TV in the family room. There was no good place except over the fireplace, which both her and I decided against for various reasons (bad for the TV because of the heat, neck strain...). I started imagining how a projector would work in that space and I was surprised that there were not too many negatives.

I've seen a couple posts regarding wiring, and I would be grateful if anyone could spare any advice/comments. These are the requests I plan to make to the electrician:

Media Cabinet

Recessed wall plate at floor with; 120V, 1-2?x HDMI, 1x Coax, 2x ethernet, Speaker plugs for 5.1.

Ceiling mounted Projector

Recessed wall (ceiling?) plate with; 120V, 1x HDMI, 1x ethernet

Recessed flush mount projector screen

Something like this with a dedicated switch

Dimmer Switch

Here's a proposed/existing diagram

Location of proposed projector and screen

Thank you guys for reading, if you're curious about anything please comment or PM me. I'm taking lots of pictures as our remodel is going along, I'll try and make a before/after post when it's all done!
