Thanks for providing this information. Some of my HDCDs provide extremely nice sound. Can't say if it is due to the HDCD format or just excellent recording techniques, but nevertheless, some have an extra "scoop" of transparency & clarity as compared to most of my recordings. I like this format being available on inexpensive players and standard stock CDs.
