Is there a certain time of the year when new models of television are more likely to be released? I heard something about it being September and I am about to buy a new television and don't want to get one right before more options are released.
Depends on what you are looking for. Sharp and Sony will start their "Gen10" plant in October, which will make large panels (60+ inches) to be provided to various manufacturers. So we can look forward to a number of new large models during the winter, probably mostly LED.
If you want a smaller size, new models should be continually introduced during this fall. Many but probably not all will be LED. Look for the current price premium for LED to decline or vanish as the production economies of this technology make themselves felt.
