The release notes aren't to be found. Let me know how it goes.
looks like everyone and their brother is trying to download that file now, it keeps crashing when I try to download it.
Can't find the "New" Control Panel, only the old school one????

So I'm thinking that I bought the wrong video card (8800GTS 640) cause I downloaded these drivers onto my old pc with a 7600gt and the video is way smoother than what I get with my new hot rod pc with the 8800gts.

Looks like the info on the NVidia site reads to me that they are providing purevideo hd for all of the old cards, the 8500 and the 8600 series, and even the 8800GTX Ultra, but everyone who got a 8800 is out of luck. Am I reading this right?

get the 160.03 from guru3d.com
I just downloaded 160.03 but how do you install those drivers?

With the other forceware it is so automatic. With those downloads from 3d with the zs in them I do not know how to install.
nevermind. Quadro just posted a forceware of 160.02 in a format that I recognize so I'll go try that one.

Jeesh, I hope this works. Hate to think of blowing $400 on a card that is obsolete the very next friggin day!

Same here. It only has the old one. I'm going back to 160.03 as that fixed all my video problems from before

just extract and run "setup.exe" you need to download and install ntune for temp monitoring.
thanks umeng but my download from 3d guru hangs at 82%. Guess I'll try to download again. I downloaded a 62M version from another site but couldn't find the orig. program to open it.

The 160.02 for Quadro cards isn't any better as far as stuttering goes in my system.

I'd like to see an official driver from NVidia that supports hd purevideo for the 8800 series cards (without having to buy the Ultra-expensive one).

I'm thinking about switching my 8800gts for the old 7600gt!

this is all such a pita.

So far so good. I finally upgraded from 84.21, which was the last official version that worked properly on my 6600 gt...
I've just looked at every forum listed in Google: There is no "New" Control Panel in this version, and no way to edit the Registry to get it to show up. So no IVTC, NR, or Sharpness control. Benchmarks indicate it is a good driver though. There appears to be a problem with "Coolbits" overclocking. (From F_L_C on NVNews).

So you can't get those features with the old control panel? I hate the new cp so the first thing I always do is switch to the classic one.
Can anyone on here confirm first hand there is no IVTC with this version? The download page state "Includes the new NVIDIA Control Panel. Please visit the NVIDIA Control ".
I've installed them and can't find the "New" Control Panel. I have no video options (IVTC, NR, etc...)
