New Optoma H31 out of focus

Newbie here.


Just got a new Optoma H31 today. Picture seems a little out of focus. Projector and viewing distances are 11 feet. When I press the "menu" button, the menus are so out of focus as to be virtually unreadable. The focus ring on the lens is no help with this. I've read the manual - no help. Is there some setting that I need to tweak or do I have a bad unit.

I know this may be a little too simple, but are you sure you are adjusting the focus and not the zoom control? Does the picture change size when you are adjusting it? If you are sure it is the focus ring you are adjusting, then it sounds like a problem with the projector. Good Luck Biersy

Apparently nothing is "a little to simple" for me :). You nailed it. The kids will never let me live this one down.
