Otherwise known as the "Voyeur camera".

I can see that these things are going to be used for all sorts of nefarious purposes.

25fps in an action camera, why even bother?
You mean the way GoPro bothered to make a camera that shoots 4K at 15fps?

Nothing wrong with 2160p at 25 frames per second in PAL countries. Obviously if this comes out to NTSC countries, it'll be 30p.

Something to note. That video only came out a few days ago and it's already the most watched video on that channel.

Nearly 77 thousand views.

I'm sure we'll see a Gopro 4k 30p camera soon to respond. Same with Sony since they already have 4K chips in their latest cell phones.

The HX-A500 will cost $400.

The Sony does not have the spying potential of the Panasonic, so it is a fail!!

Panasonic a500 has built in battery.

I mean to say you can not remove the battery so if battery runs out after 1hr of video. you have to stop recording and charge the unit.

Ok, just like my Verizon HTC Droid DNA smartphone so I have an external micro USB battery pack.

I have the canon vixia mini it does now allow to connect usb battery pack to continuous record after 1hr (need to connect to ac power). I hope the Panasonic

a500 does allow charging via ubs while recording at same time.

Panasonic actually brought the A500 to NAB, When I approached the booth to check out the GH4, I didn't expect to also see the A500 their as well.

Anyway, it's talked about and shown halfway though my video. Like he said, it'll come in 30 frames per second as well. No different than the AX100 or GH4.

The A500 can shoot in 2160 30p while the A100 can't.
