When K. Deering finally tests this unit, there is no way it will exceed the video scores of the aforementioned units. Book it. Of course, few have. Some $obscenely expensive denons obstensibly have but that is another discussion.

Why is it impossible for Panny to better their old units? Have you seen the new Panny in action? I'll wait for Kris Deerings review but, don't take this the wrong way, I hope you eat crow on this one

The new S97 model will most likely have the same macro-blocking problem of the other new models that use the same newer Faroudja scaling chip. The older Panasonics used an older Faroudja chip without that problem.
