Finally Phase 1 is complete on my home theater (for several weeks now) and the HT is usable and enjoyable. Still many plans to continue construction, but on hold for awhile.

Thanks to all of you on the forum for your excellent previous and continuing advice which helped make my HT a success.


Now that I have shown it around, a close friend and my brother are both considering building home theaters, so the hobby spreads quickly!

Congrats! That must be a nice feeling to be able to enjoy the fruit of your labor! I've read many times that HT's are never complete, but at least you are using yours!

Only Phase 1 is complete, I have 20 more phases to go


Seriously, yeah for me it was just getting it to a usable state so we could start enjoying. My wife and I are not infused with a sense of patience. Now I can "tweak the construction" to my hearts content.


Although, once you get it to a completed state, development does tend to slow to a crawl as movie watching increases exponentially
