im looking to better equip my klipsch kl-650 thx lcr speakers. they contain 2 6" midbass drivers that are tight, but hardly potent. i've been messing with my system for some time to try and get the best combination of deep, low bass and tight, midbass slam. after a lot of testing, i have come to the conclusion that setting the crossover to around 150hz is amazing when it comes to punch. but, since so much signal is going through the sub, the mains tend to sound less dynamic and vocals are a bit lost over all the bass. but the impact is jawdropping. so i want to get some subs specifically to play from 80hz to 150hz. these will basically be an extension of my mains. so what components do i need to achieve this (other than the subs), how do i hook it all up, and what settings for each sub need to be set?
