New projector-looking for input

Hi,


I should be receiving my ph530 this week, and I'm concerned about the best way to shutdown, cool, etc the pj so as not to diminish the bulb life.


I've read many postings and I understand about the cool down period, and also not to turn the pj on and off to often.


What I'm concerned about is when I first get it. I have an idea where it will be placed, but I figure I'll need to move it around, testing different distances and so forth. Should I attach a long extension cord and then move it about?


Any input in appreciated.
