Looks great, especially with 1500 Lumen @ 28db

but contrast is only stated with 1100:1 :(

On the other hand they have a SXGA DLP projector mentioned too

I would have liked them to have clearly stated the panel physical dimension as opposed to the way the described (hey, don't blame me for my lack of trust in my fellow man!), but ...

Also, why is the contrast on this SXGA only 1000:1?

Tor, it will be your responsability (hehe) to find everything you can about this company as a resident of Norway. May the [optical] force be with you! We want pricing, pricing, and demo results!

Notice how all three of the Projection Design DLP projectors use the same lamp and yet the HD2 projector gives one-half the brightness. This must be due to the use of a colour wheel with a large clear section in the XGA and SXGA projectors which will likely result in less saturated colours. If the 1100:1 CR and 1500 lumen specs are realistic at D65, then the Action will be a very nice projector and a good choice for those with large screens or ambient light problems.

I found these prices, but this shop is pretty expensive.

SXGA is MRSP Nkr 79.900,- (+tax) which is ~$10.617,65 (+tax)

XGA is MRSP Nkr 55.000,- (+tax) which is ~$7.308,77 (+tax)

For comparison the NEC HT1000 is MRSP Nkr 44.900,- (+tax) which is ~$5.966,61 (+tax)

I'll see if I can find some other dealers, but it seems they are expensive, like most other norwegian projectors.

Tor, their pricing may be inline with what it would cost to, cough, import an equivalent product. Let them eat cake for a few months and see if the prices go down.
