When will the new receivers start coming that could possibly have HDMI 2.1?

@duvy56 I thought I saw someone mention that Denon had 2.1 receivers coming in 2020. Of course the Denon x8500h is able to do 2.1 now with a hardware upgrade, iirc?

JD would know, but I believe that the availability date for the HDMI 2.1 upgrade for the 8500 has not yet been announced. Its pricing may also not have been announced yet. (Board swap at an authorized repair center. Not a source of joy.)

Correct. Upgrade start date and exact pricing (est $200) unknown at this point but not likely to be available until summer 2020 when shipped to the factory repair facility United Radio, Syracuse, NY.
There has been an ongoing thread on this topic for the past year. Not sure if any mods can combine these topics.

Were there any HDMI 2.1 Receivers shown at CES?
