I heard about this product that was shown at CES. I was unable to get a model name for it, and I wanted to look into it. Does anyone know which set I am talking about? Also, do you know the suggested price and sizes for the TV's?

weapon , are you sure it was a samsung? i know that sharp is releasing a line of lcds that are for gaming . a 32" 1080p set and a 37" one.

I have a 32" Samsung LCD (LN-S3251D) and it features a Game Mode whic is awesome. Very good gaming HDTV.

Sharp announced a line of gaming optimized LCDs


Samsung announced more sizes in their Slim DLP sets

They also announced a new Line of Slim DLP sets using LED backlights (instead of the bulb)


I think you are mixing these together.


Most likely it was the Slim LED DLP set. These are much thinner than traditional DLP sets (like 11 inches) so they are similar in footprint to LCDs and Plasmas. As far as gaming goes these will be the same as the last year's DLP sets (which supposedly worked fine)


FYI- JVC also announced a line of slim projection sets using their LCos (D-ILA) technology.
