 Sherwood Newcastle R-972 HDMI 1.3 Receiver


I'm a happy P-965 owner. From what I've seen on these boards, I'm not alone in that Sherwood ownership has made it the only brand that gets my attention. For us, this is the one product we've been waiting for.


So here begins the wonderful months of guesses, teasing, and SN nerds like me hooked on every word typed by Stereojeff.


I'll start it off, "There will be a P-972 pre/pro separate, right?"

I met Jeff at CES and he gave me a quick rundown on the new stuff.


I asked that same question, and the answer was "We don't know yet".

Why do so many of us want one of these so damn bad?


Evidently HDMI 1.3 is unimportant, HD Audio

decoding in the receiver is unimportant, class D amps suck, and nobody seems to buy

gear by this manufacturer, lol
