This is what the Davis website says about their new revision for the DL8:
"Improvments
- New blue welcome screen for Davis Cinema Products.
- New quick menus for saturation and tint adjustment.
- New functioanlity for the Zap buttons. It is now possible to turn the product On with Zap1 and Off with Zap2, provided no Zap function are set in the Zap configuration menu.
