Hello, this appears to be a Wal Mart only item that is on their website and stores. Has anyone purchased or listened to it? It seems to have 424W RMS and might not be as powerful as some of their DVD HTIB systems.

It has one optical and one coaxial as well as an included ipod dock.

I am looking to get something to improve my music, use with my cable box and the PS3 slim I am getting next week.

The PS3 is a BD player so I’m not sure why you’re looking at a Blue Ray HTiB….

I would stay away from HTiBs if you really care about music. However, at $500 you’ll be hard pressed to put together a receiver, subwoofer, and speakers. Would you consider starting out with a receiver and a pair of speakers and building up over time?

i did realize it could be a bit redundant having both the PS3 and and blu ray HTIB, but due to space constraints within my TV stand, these speakers would fit on my shelf vs other Sony systems.

My other consideration to go along with the PS3 would be a DVD HTIB instead.

Since you do not need another Blu-Ray but worry about space, take a look at the Sony HTS-S360. For more info check out the thread devoted to the system: many folks (including myself) are quite happy with it when connected to PS3.
